They say red is the colour of attraction and in the case of the excel® V laser this is certainly true. This highly effective laser just loves the colour red, it seeks it out to effectively treat concerns such as redness, broken blood vessels, and sun damage.Book Consultation

By emitting one specific wavelength of light, which is attracted to the colour red (or sometimes brown), it finds its targets and destroys it leaving the rest of your skin unharmed. For example, when treating broken blood vessels, it seeks them out in the skin, the light is absorbed by the blood in the vessel and converted to heat which destroys it.
First off, you’ll be provided with safety eyewear. While they may not lift your style game, they will protect those precious retinas. Your Script Skincare practitioner will then pass the laser over the area to be treated. You may feel some slight discomfort during the procedure, but rest assured, the sensation won’t last long.
Key items to be aware of:
- Redness and a feeling of sunburn may occur and could last up to 48 hours.
- Swelling may occur and may also last up to 48 hours.
- When brown spots are treated, they will darken and flake off over one week. Areas other than the face will take 10–14 days.
- Any areas of bruising may take 7–10 days to settle.
- For best results a series of treatments may be required, spaced weeks or months apart. Because we’re all different we’ll create a plan that’s right for you.
15-45 minutes depending on the size and number of areas to be treated.
Vitamin A is often called the ‘normalising’ vitamin. But don’t let that fool you. It’s the only vitamin with proven clinical benefits, a major player in your anti-ageing artillery, and when it comes to supporting and normalising the skin’s functions, it can be a saviour for acne sufferers too.
We all know that antioxidants in our topical skincare are some of the most potent actives going around. But as founder of Script Skincare, Associate Professor Greg Goodman explains, there is a lot of merit in eating your antioxidants too.
