Ten Skin Myths Debunked
Skincare can be a confusing area to navigate so we've pulled together the top ten skin myths you need to know about.
Think of skin peels as being a formula one car for your skin. While your active skincare is doing an incredible job of getting you from A to B, your skin peels accelerate your skin from zero to one hundred in under 30 minutes.
As with your skincare, the right skin peel needs to be matched exactly to your specific skin and our Script Skincare Clinicians are experts at this. We have the largest peel menu available, curated by our founding dermatologist, Professor Greg Goodman (AM), treating skin considerations from acne to dehydration, wrinkles to thickened skin, pigmentation to congestion. We have the perfect peel program for your skin considerations.
Peel programs can be tailored specifically to both your skin’s needs as well as your lifestyle requirements. For example, you can elect to have a peel that has more intense downtime but a more immediate result, versus one that is less intense initially but is more subtle in its outcomes. A series of peels are generally recommended, which is why we build individual peel programs to achieve the best results and each one acts differently depending on the condition to be treated. After the initial course, sporadic ongoing maintenance treatments can be beneficial.
The process of a peel involves your Script Skincare practitioner removing all makeup and thoroughly cleaning the area to be treated. The peeling agent is then applied to the skin. Some peels are left on and worn home, while others are washed off or neutralised during the appointment. It is common to feel a mild stinging or hot sensation during the treatment.
Depending on the peel you have had, you may or may not ‘peel,’ however at the very least it is most likely you will experience a light exfoliation. Although everyone responds differently it is usual to look quite normal the day after treatment.
