Loss of elasticity
Not suitable for pregnancy
If you are looking to maintain healthy rejuvenated skin, this is the procedure for you. SkinPen® allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair process by creating thousands of precise micro-injuries in the dermis, automatically triggering new collagen synthesis. It works even better when your skin is prepared and supported with the right skincare, so ask your practitioner about this.
The device will be moved over the treatment area and your skin will be pinpricked multiple times. Most clients report that they can feel a slight vibration but that they are generally comfortable. A specialised skincare product hand selected by your experienced Script Skincare practitioner will be applied immediately after the procedure and left on the skin. An SPF will be applied before you leave.
Immediately post procedure, you will notice that the treated area is covered in tiny little pricks, these will bleed at the time, but it will cease quickly. Your skin may feel slightly sensitive and although you won’t be in pain, your skin will feel warm.
Here is what else to be aware of:
- Some areas may appear red or purple in colour and this may remain up to 48 hours.
- You may experience dryness.
- A series of treatments can be beneficial but can only be done four weeks apart.
- This procedure works by building collagen so the results will continue to improve over the coming weeks.
- You can return to normal activities and conceal most of the mild side-effects after just one day.
SkinPen® takes approximately 30 minutes.
