Glasses on, your science lesson is about to begin. RF refers to radiofrequency, which is the type of energy this device uses (different to light energy used in lasers and IPLs).
The handpiece of our device has tiny needle shaped pins which deliver the RF energy through to the collagen fibres in the second layer of the skin, by damaging the existing collagen our body’s natural repair processes are stimulated producing more collagen through increased fibroblast production.
When collagen production increases, the visible effect on your skin is that it appears tighter and smoother, with a softening of fine lines and wrinkles.
Collagen production makes the skin plumper and springier which also has the side benefit of evening out indented acne scars, reducing pore size and generally improving skin quality and texture.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
One of our experienced dermal clinicians will begin by cleansing your skin based on your individual skin profile.
This treatment works by stimulating collagen production so it can be mildly uncomfortable, but rest assured the sensation does pass quickly. We will check in to make sure it’s tolerable for you.
This treatment is not what we would consider a lunchtime treatment, meaning you won’t look exactly the same as when you walked in, your skin may feel sensitive, and you will be red. It is normal for your skin to feel dry after the treatment as your skin’s microbiome readjusts. Please keep in mind any plans you have as there may be mild side effects over the next 48 hours.
To finish, your skin will be topped with a non-irritating sun protection product – an absolute must for your skincare routine.
This procedure works by building collagen so the results will continue to improve over the coming weeks and months. Some clients report a gradual ongoing improvement for up to a year. The results are permanent but nevertheless, time, sun exposure and gravity mean that an occasional maintenance session may be required.
